Agent Stoker believes that the apocalypse may result from a sentient intelligence coming into its power. Unfortunately, over his investigations, he comes across numerous types of sentient intelligences, in various types of manifestations, one or all of which may be responsible for the coming apocalypse. Not only does Stoker have ticking clock problem to solve, a rogue artificial intelligence dogs his every move, and Stoker's own actions may lead to a self fulfilling prophecy. It's a propulsive thriller with a theme that's more focused than most, and yet it keeps finding ways to surprise me with what it can explore within those confines.
